CONTEXTUAL DESKTOP CONTROL

Complete Control, Improve User Productivity

Environment Manager Policy, powered by AppSense, simplifies management, makes users more productive, and improves user experience by enabling IT to control every aspect of the desktop at a highly granular, contextual level.

Environment Manager Policy replaces logon scripts and Group Policies with a simple but powerful console for creating advanced, multi-threaded policies that dynamically configure the desktop based on user context.

Environment Manager decouples user settings and manages them separately from the desktop, allowing portability across devices. The result? Fast logons and personalized workspaces that users love, with less work for you.  Environment Manager enables fully personalized, consistent desktop environments without cumbersome roaming profiles or scripts, allowing IT to deliver fast, compliant, responsive workspaces easily.

*The full Environment Manager edition also offers advanced profile management (also known as User Personalization) which uses a 3-tier architecture with HTTPS communications, IIS, and SQL for profile storage, and an extensive API. This approach supports modern delivery methods such as desktops delivered from the cloud, and offers greater support for mobile workers. In comparison, “standard” profile management (available in both EM and EM Policy) relies on SMB/CIFS file shares to store user settings and profiles.
